It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Charlene Holt, a beloved member of our community. Charlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She touched the lives of countless people with her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit.
Charlene passed away peacefully on the morning of August 14th, 2021. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones, who were all deeply saddened by her passing. Charlene had been battling cancer for several years, and her health had been declining over the past few months. Despite her illness, Charlene remained strong and courageous until the end.
Charlene was born on May 28th, 1952, in Lexington, Kentucky. She grew up in a loving family and was known for her kind and gentle nature. Charlene was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, and her generosity knew no bounds. She had a passion for cooking and loved to share her delicious meals with family and friends.
Charlene met her husband, James, in college, and they were married on June 15th, 1974. They were inseparable and shared a deep love for each other. They had three children together, and Charlene was a devoted mother who always put her family first. She was a wonderful role model to her children and instilled in them the values of kindness, compassion, and hard work.
Charlene was also a doting grandmother to her six grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and was always eager to spoil them with love and affection. Her grandchildren adored her and will miss her dearly.

A funeral service for Charlene will be held on August 20th, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky. All who knew Charlene are invited to attend and pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Charlene's memory.
